Cranberry-Onion Sauce

Ingredients

4 c
cranberries
2 c
water
2 c
light brown sugar
3 T
lemon juice
1 t
ground ginger
1 1⁄2 c
onion, chopped
1⁄4 c
Unsalted Butter

Directions

In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients except onions and butter. Bring to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes until cranberries pop open. Sauté onions in butter until soft. Add to cranberries and puree in a blender or food mill.
